During a press conference in Kyiv, Zelenskyy revealed that there are documented cases of Russia reportedly recruiting Chinese individuals through social media platforms. This, he suggested, has raised concerns regarding Beijing’s awareness of these activities and whether any governmental directives might be influencing these recruits. He mentioned, “The ‘Chinese’ issue is serious. There are 155 people, with names and passport details, who are fighting against Ukrainians on the territory of Ukraine. We believe that there are many more of them.”
On a related front, Zelenskyy confirmed the capture of two Chinese individuals claimed to have been fighting alongside Russian troops in the Eastern Donetsk region.
