United States President Donald Trump has intensified his rhetoric towards Iran, following recent military strikes targeting three of the country’s nuclear facilities. During a recent news conference in Scotland alongside UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer, Trump expressed concern over Iran’s intentions, stating that the nation was “sending very bad signals.” He emphasized the Trump administration’s stance against Iran’s nuclear activities, maintaining that their nuclear capabilities had been significantly diminished. “They can start again. If they do, we’ll wipe it out faster than you can wave your finger at it,” he added, indicating a readiness for further action if necessary.
This situation unfolds as Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi underscored Iran’s right to pursue uranium enrichment, signaling a persistent objective of developing a nuclear program. Recent diplomatic engagements with the UK, France, and Germany were characterized by Iranian officials as “serious, frank, and detailed,” even though no significant breakthroughs were reported.
