The governor reported that flights have commenced from the Alligator Alcatraz facility, stating, “This provides an ability to enhance the mission, to increase the number and frequency of deportations.” A spokesperson from Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) confirmed that initial flights had already deported “up to a hundred individuals who were illegally present in the state.”
