The attack occurred early Thursday morning when assailants targeted the Machar-Pakuek cattle camp and Mading Juer Boma in Majak Payam, Tonj North County in Warrap State. In addition to the fatalities, 33 individuals sustained injuries during the violence, leading local government representatives to express their condolences to the families affected by this tragic event.
Warrap spokesperson William Wol Mayom Bol stated that the raid was carried out by an armed cross-border criminal network, thereby exacerbating an already volatile situation.
