Alongside Al-Louh, the head of the Civil Defence in Nuseirat, Nedal Abu Hjayyer, was also a casualty of the airstrike. As the conflict intensifies, the losses mount. According to reports, 195 journalists have lost their lives in Gaza since the onset of hostilities. Sunday also saw additional tragedies; Mohammad Jabr al-Qrinawi and his family were reportedly killed when their home in Bureij refugee camp fell victim to an airstrike. The humanitarian situation in Gaza is worsening, with recent estimates from Gaza’s Health Ministry indicating that at least 44,976 Palestinians have been killed since October 7, 2023.
