The body recovered belonged to a Rohingya woman, as reported by the state news agency Bernama.
The migrants were initially aboard a large vessel but were instructed to transfer to three smaller boats, each carrying about 100 people, as they approached the border. This maneuver was allegedly aimed at avoiding detection by authorities.
