Fighting has erupted in the predominantly Druze city of Sweida, located in southern Syria, as tensions escalate between local Bedouin tribes and Druze fighters. Additionally, around 32 others sustained injuries due to the armed confrontations and shelling that took place in the Maqus neighborhood, east of Sweida city. As a result of the violence, the strategic Damascus-Sweida highway has been closed.
